Physical Adjustments

Physical Adjustments can be used to adjust the On Hand quantity of an item between inventory counts or to reflect theft or breakage. When entering a Physical Adjustment, the item's new On Hand quantity is supplied and will not reflect transactions between the time of the count and the adjustment.

Access
Grant permission to User Profiles in Access User Profiles > select a User Profile > Security > Inventory > Movements > Physical Adjustments.

Enter the Item's Location.

Date defaults to the current date, select the drop down calendar to select another date.

Enter a Reference in this 18 character alpha-numeric field.

 

Add Items

Select the Add icon to select the item.

Enter an Item ID or select F12 to search and the Item Description populates when Item ID is chosen.

Units provides the Stocking Units of Measure, how the item is stocked and sold.

Old Qty, Old Quantity, indicates the Item's current On Hand quantity.

Enter the New Qty, New Quantity, the Item's new On Hand quantity.

Enter the Reason Code for the adjustment or select F12 to search.

Provide a Comment in this 20 character alpha-numeric field.

Select Finished when all items to be adjusted have been entered to post the new On Hand quantity to the Item.

Notes

  • The GL entry for adjustments will credit/debit the inventory account and the shrink account set on the category of the item.
  • Physical adjustments are type AD in the INTrans table.
